MISSION STATEMENT

Responsible Training seeks to be the national leader in delivering accurate and easily accessible online credentialing programs that meet recognized national standards. In doing so, Responsible Training strives to meet or exceed the customer service, content, and technological expectations of:

HOW THIS FOOD SAFETY PROGRAM WORKS

Each lesson contains detailed information on the topic and fun exercises. The lessons have an optional voice over that will read the lesson out loud. After reviewing lesson materials, a 10 question quiz at the end will test what you have learned.

The Food Manager Certificate Program is designed to be completed at your own pace. Most people finish this course in 8 hours. However, you must complete each lesson before advancing to the next. Each lesson can be reviewed in 15 minutes or less and lesson quizzes should take about 5 minutes each.

The exam itself is taken in a virtually-proctored setting. You must schedule your exam time and date before the exam can be taken.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The Food Protection Manager Certification Program consists of a 75-question multiple choice exam, which you must pass with 70% to be awarded a food manager certificate.

You must first schedule your exam time and date with Examity before you can take your exam in a remote-proctored setting.

After passing your exam, your certification will become available for download within 1-2 business days.

REGISTERING YOUR FOOD SAFETY MANAGER CERTIFICATION WITH A LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT

Please contact your local health department to determine if any additional registration fee must be paid. In some states, counties and municipalities are allowed to collect a registration fee for Food Manager Certificates, but many areas have no registration requirements.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

HOW IS FOOD MANAGER CERTIFICATION USED?

Holding a Food Manager Certification shows employers that you understand food safety and health regulations and have the knowledge needed to oversee food handling and processing operations. Employers can check your certification status through our online system.

When applying for jobs, you may call yourself a "Responsible Training Food Protection Manager Certification Recipient". You can refer to your "Responsible Training Food Protection Manager Certification" on your resume.

You may not say or imply that you are "certified," "certificated," "licensed," "registered" or "accredited"; these terms indicate a different type of program than food manager training.

WHAT WILL I BE TESTED ON IN THE EXAM?

This certification program will assess your knowledge and understanding in:
