Online Exam for Food Manager Certification in Texas 

This food manager exam tests the knowledge required of food managers regarding food safety laws and regulations for the county and state where they work. This is designed primarily for managers already working in the industry who need to renew their Food Protection Manager Certification. However, there is no prerequisite for taking this course. Anyone may sign up for it.

This Food Protection Manager Exam has been developed to meet the American National Standards Institute - Conference for Food Protection (ANSI-CFP) requirements by training experts with the guidance of health department food safety officials and food management professionals. It is periodically updated to stay current with food codes and to improve quality.

How this Course Works

Once you have completed the course, you are ready to take the exam. This exam will have a Remote Proctor, meaning that you will need a computer with a camera and audio which allows a remote live proctor to observe you while you take the exam.

In order to take your certification exam, you must ensure that you have a system that meets the requirements and a valid ID. Watch the video to see all the rules that our proctoring partner, Integrity Advocate, enforces to ensure the exam is taken securely. 

Once you’ve set up your exam area and the Integrity Advocate proctor has approved, you may begin the exam. You must score a passing grade of 75% to receive your Food Protection Manager Certification.

Your certification will become available in your account within 1-2 business days after passing the exam.

There are two possible test forms you can take. Both test forms are equivalent with the same minimum passing score of 75% +\- 0.1%.
