Who needs a Person in Charge Card?

At least one person with a PIC certificate must be present during each shift in a licensed food establishment of any risk level — such as restaurants, cafes, or food trucks. . 

Is the certificate state-approved?

How long does it take to complete?

The course takes about 1 to 2 hours to complete and is entirely online.

Is there an exam?

Yes — at the end of the course you’ll take an online final exam testing the food safety concepts you have learned. When you successfully pass the exam you’ll have earned an approved Person in Charge certificate.

When do I get my certificate?
