Who must have RBSS Certification?

The State of Oklahoma requires that alcoholic beverage sellers/servers obtain an Employee License, which must be followed by an approved training course. This Oklahoma Responsible Beverage Sales & Service (RBSS) Training Course is approved by the Oklahoma ABLE Commission and meets the state training requirements.

Can I take the course and exam on a mobile device?

Yes. You can take the course and final exam on a phone, tablet, or computer. On the phone, you will have the best experience holding it horizontally.

What do I have to do first?

Individuals who are required to hold an Employee License for selling and serving alcoholic beverages must undergo training that covers the laws and different situations involved in serving alcohol. 

Initially, you must apply for an Employee License from the Oklahoma ABLE Commission. Within 14 days of applying, you must complete an approved RBSS course, like this one. Finally, you must upload your Responsible Training RBSS Certificate to demonstrate that you have completed the required training.  

When do I get my certificate?

You’ll receive your Responsible Training RBSS Certificate immediately after you pass the final exam.

How do I register my training with the Oklahoma ABLE Commission?

Upon completion of this RBSS training course and passing the final exam, your Certificate from Responsible Training is immediately available. You need to download your certificate and then upload it to the ABLE Commission site to demonstrate that you have completed the required training.

To upload your certificate, return to the ABLE Commission Website, login with the same information you used to apply for the Employee License, and add the Responsible Training Certificate to your application.

For how long is the certificate valid?

The Responsible Training TABC Certificate expires after two years.
