This Food Protection Manager Course & Exam has been developed to meet the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) accreditation requirements by training experts with the guidance of health department food safety officials and food management professionals. It is periodically updated to stay current with food codes and to improve quality. It meets the requirements set out by the state of Illinois and the city of Chicago. It also meets the certification requirements of all other states.
For the city of Chicago, in addition to the ANAB-accredited Food Protection Manager certification, you must obtain a Food Service Sanitation Manager certificate from Kennedy-King College. These are the steps required:

Once you have completed the course, you are ready to take the exam. This exam will have a Remote Proctor, meaning that you will need a computer with a camera and audio, which allows a remote live proctor to observe you while you take the exam.
In order to take your certification exam, you must have a system that meets the requirements and a valid ID. Watch the video to see all the rules that our proctoring partner, Integrity Advocate, enforces to ensure the exam is taken securely.
Once you’ve set up your exam area and the Integrity Advocate proctor has approved, you may begin the exam.
