Course Details

How Does this Course Bundle Work?

When you start your course bundle, you will need to select a course from the dropdown menu at the top of the page.

You may take the courses in any order desired. You will be awarded a certificate for each course that you successfully complete. 

For How Long are these Certificates valid?

The Florida Food Handler Certificate is valid for three years.

The Florida Responsible Vendor Certificate is valid for three years.

Does Florida require a food handlers certificate?

Yes. The State of Florida requires food handlers to take a Food Handler Course and pass a test showing you understand food safety.

If you provide your employer's SEA# and company name when starting the course, you will be registered with the Florida DBPR upon completion. However, this is an optional step.

Does Florida require an Alcohol Servers certificate? 

The Florida Responsible Vendor Act requires that employees of responsible alcohol vendors must take a course of instruction dealing with alcoholic beverages and other controlled substances.

How Long Does It Take to Complete each Course?

Most users complete each course in under 2 hours.

Is there an Exam? 

Yes. For the Food Handler exam, you will need to score 75% or higher to pass. For the Responsible Vendor exam, you will need to score 70% or higher to pass. You may take the exams multiple times.

When do I get my Certificate?

For both courses you are able to download your certificate as soon as you pass the final exam.

Can I use the same Certificates for multiple jobs? 

Yes. Your certificates are valid for any food/alcohol service establishment in Florida.
