Responsible Cannabis Vendor course Details

Who Needs to Take Responsible Vendor Training?

Owners and employees of Medical Marijuana Stores, Accelerator Stores, Retail Marijuana Stores, or Licensed Hospitality Businesses will benefit from being a Responsible Vendor. That means anyone with day-to-day operational control of a Licensed Premises, management personnel, and Employee Licensees involved in the handling and transfer of Regulated Marijuana must complete this training program for their establishment to be considered a Responsible Vendor. Furthermore, Medical and Retail Marijuana Transporters must complete an approved training program to be designated a Responsible Vendor.

New employees have a 90-day grace period to complete an approved training program from their date of hire. 

How this course works

We've made it easy to receive your Responsible Cannabis Vendor training, meet state and company standards and begin work as quickly as possible. This course includes:

• Self-paced lessons that take less than 20 minutes and have a voice-over option that reads the lesson aloud
• Interactive exercises to help reinforce learning 
• Short quizzes to see how much you've retained after each lesson
• A final test once all five lessons are completed. To get your Responsible Vendor Certificate, you must achieve a 70% on the final exam.
  
  
  

For How Long is the Responsible Vendor Certificate Valid?

The Responsible Vendor Certification is good for 2 years. In order to maintain your designation as a Responsible Vendor, you must complete an approved training course every 2 years.

How Do I Get my Certificate?

As soon as you have completed your course and passed the final exam with at least 70% correct answers, you may download your certificate. The  Responsible Cannabis Vendor certificate from Responsible Training demonstrates that you have completed the requirements of a Responsible Cannabis Vendor program and includes an expiration date.
