Responsible Cannabis course Details

Who Needs This Training?

Owners and employees of Medical Marijuana Stores, Accelerator Stores, Retail Marijuana Stores, or Licensed Hospitality Businesses will benefit from being a Responsible Vendor. That means anyone with day-to-day operational control of a Licensed Premises, management personnel, and Employee Licensees involved in the handling and transfer of Regulated Marijuana must complete this training program for their establishment to be considered a Responsible Vendor. Furthermore, Medical and Retail Marijuana Transporters must complete an approved training program to be designated a Responsible Vendor.

Individuals who deliver regulated marijuana products should complete the Responsible Cannabis Delivery course, which will help you understand the particular rules and regulations for transporting regulated cannabis products for retail and medical purposes. Those who work in a Marijuana Hospitality business should complete the Responsible Cannabis Hospitality course.

New employees have a 90-day grace period to complete an approved training program from their date of hire. 

How these courses work

We've made it easy to receive your Responsible Cannabis Vendor, Driver, and Hospitality training, meet state and company standards and begin work as quickly as possible. These courses includes:

• Self-paced lessons that take less than 20 minutes
• Interactive exercises to help reinforce learning 
• Short quizzes to see how much you've retained after each lesson
• A final test once all the lessons are completed. To get your certificate, you must achieve a 70% on the final exam.

For How Long Are the Certificates Valid?

The Responsible Vendor Certification and Hospitality Certification are each good for 2 years.

Responsible Driver Certification is good for 1 year.

How Do I Get my Certificate?

As soon as you have completed your course and passed the final exam with at least 70% correct answers, you may download your certificate. Each certificate from Responsible Training demonstrates that you have completed the requirements of that program and includes an expiration date.
