Will the Government Shutdown Effect Your Food?

With federal food safety inspectors off the job during the current US Government Shutdown, many are wondering if the food they’re purchasing at restaurants and in the grocery store is safe for consumption. Earlier this week, CBS affiliate KEYE-TV in Austin, Texas interviewed Responsible Training CEO Andrew Tyndall on the current status of our food.

According to the article, “It was only this week, the fourth week of the shutdown, that the FDA resumed some food inspections. And those inspectors are not being paid.”
