In the bustle of the kitchen, it’s easy to get sidetracked and forget to keep up with tasks like dishwashing and hand washing. But according to a recent study by Michigan State, “only 5 percent of people properly washed their hands long enough to kill infection-causing germs and bacteria.” How gross is that? And even though these CDC-recommended points might seem obvious, if it means killing more than 5 percent of germs when our food is involved, count us in.
